David joined Bishop Fleming in 2004 from a Taunton firm of accountants, where he had worked for 14 years and built a reputation for advising a wide range of clients including many construction and property businesses.
David's particular areas of expertise are Property and Construction - where he heads our team - and what he calls the "Non-Financial Director Business Sector". He believes that non-F.D. businesses have many common characteristics not defined by their size.
David comments, "I joined Bishop Fleming from a practice where I was very much involved at the sharp end of running the business. I therefore have a wealth of hands-on experience as an Owner Manager on which to draw."
His wealth of experience is put to good use on the credit committee and as a board member of South West Investment Group Services Ltd, a company which is responsible for distribution of government money to small businesses which are unable to get bank finance - throughout the South West region. He is also a board member of Exeter Chamber of Commerce.
David lives in Somerset and has an active interest in rugby, cricket, and golf.
